"The Fruit of the Holy Spirit – What is patience?
Patience comes from a position of power. A person may have the ability to take revenge or cause trouble, but patience brings self-restraint and careful thinking. Losing patience is a sign of weakness. We are patient through trying situations out of hope for a coming deliverance; we are patient with a trying person out of compassion. We choose to love that person and want what's best for him.
All the fruits of the Spirit reveal the nature of our God Almighty. Patience is fourth fruit of the Spirit. Patience in general term means, “ the quality of bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation.
Patience is the fruit of the Spirit through which Lord God Almighty helps us to learn, develop, grow and mature in Christ, so that the fruits of righteousness which glorifies our Father in the heaven can be produced.
Patience helps us to gain experience during trials, temptations and testing times of our faith. It helps us to learn on how to rely more upon God’s power and wisdom and wait upon the Lord. God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God’s gift to us.
