Bishop, once we are born of God we see things more clearly. Everything that was hidden is revealed.
The Holy Spirit cares, guides, renews and sustains us in a magnificent way. The things of God are so simple when you have the Holy Spirit. How to use our faith, the purposes of faith, the Word of God and the caution not to fall.
The Fast of Daniel begins tomorrow. This time it will be a little bit different. The aim is that we, not only, separate ourselves from secular information, but also from everything that we like.
Bishop, during the last two Fasts, my husband and I already did this. We stopped doing the things we like, our activities... He stopped going to see soccer games, and I stopped getting my Saturday massage. We don’t go to parties, special events or tours during this time. I was very excited when I heard what you suggested for this Fast because I had already detached myself from these things.
A while back, I stopped watching certain TV channels because I understood that their programming had nothing to do with GOD. Much on the other hand, they are totally against everything that has to do with GOD and faith.
So, I deleted them completely from my life. I don’t watch other church programs, because I don’t want to mix my faith with theirs.
I understand that the more I invest in spiritual things, the things of GOD, the stronger I become, the firmer I get.
I remain steadfast to eat the "spiritual fillet mignon”. I am past the ‘soup’ phase. Thank GOD, I'm learning to walk.
Today, I’m only concerned with the fruit of the Spirit and not in showing off.
During this Fast of Daniel, I will take another step forward in my life and in my faith. I will prepare myself to eat ‘meat’.
I'm going to eat the "spiritual filet mignon”. I'm going to eat all the nutritious food that comes from GOD.
This is what sustains us: the Holy Spirit.
In faith, and in the Fast!
May God continue to bless you always
