A Forgiveness Exercise
No one can receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit when they are still holding grudges against someone.
God's forgiveness depends on our forgiveness.
It is a commandment of Jesus:
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6.14-15
But how can I forgive when I don’t feel like forgiving, if I can’t forget the evil that has been done to me?
How can I force my heart to forgive?
You can’t. Nobody can control the impulses of the heart.
It is rebellious with God, and even more with us!
So how can I obey the Lord Jesus and forgive?
The heart may be a lot of things, but it can never control someone’s reason when they are decided.
Use your intelligence and pray for that person. Mention their name to God, ask Him to bless them and other similar things...
Even if your heart screams, kicks and feel hatred, the important thing is that you use your reason, your intelligence and OBEY the word of Jesus and profess words of blessings for the other person.
It is obvious that the Holy Spirit, through this effort of faith, will instantly remove those feelings from your heart.
You will be free from the cancer of the soul, you will receive God’s forgiveness and the baptism with the Holy Spirit
